- Are you buying a house?
- Do you have investments?
- Is your life insured?
- Will you pay Inheritance Tax?
- Do you have dependent relatives?
If you answer yes to any of the above, you should make a Will.
Do not assume that if you are married your spouse will get everything. Do not assume that family jewels, mementos, gifts of great value or no value will go to whom ever you choose. You can only be sure that your wishes are carried out if you make a Will.
For most people this can be sorted out quickly and painlessly. For others it may entail taking into account taxation, personal financial circumstances, whether you are married, divorced, separated, living together, children of a former marriage etc.
Making a Will won’t kill you - only your mind will Rest In Peace.
